Equipping Future Leaders in the Missions Field
The Hammond Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Al Hammond, a beloved Jessup alumnus and professor, who had a heart for missions and spreading the gospel around the world. This scholarship was created to encourage, inspire and provide a pathway for students to go into the mission field during their time at Jessup.
A gift to this scholarship will equip Jessup students to fulfill the Great Commission to “GO and make disciples of all nations”. In partnership with Jessup’s Global Outreach program, Jessup’s purpose and prayer in sending Jessup missions teams is to support, lead, develop and give students the tangible opportunity to participate in Kingdom work in a culture different than their own.
“During my time at Jessup I had the privilege of going on four global outreach trips; to Cambodia, China, and twice to India. My first global outreach trip changed my life. My worldview was challenged and my perspectives were widened as a result of Global Outreach. Partnering with God in his mission and coming alongside local leaders in their environment inspired me to live a missional lifestyle, whether I was overseas or home in Rocklin, CA” - Kayla Balangue (Curtis, ‘19)
As a thank you for joining Kayla in supporting what she loves at Jessup, she and her husband Roenz will be matching all gifts dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000.
