Supporting Future Difference Makers by providing welcoming areas that promote community
Ask any student what they love most about Jessup and the overwhelming response is 'the community'. That's why this year Jessup Student Governement chose to focus on upgrading the furniture in the common areas to provide students with places that are comfortable, inviting, and full of opportunities to connect with each other and with Jesus.
Meet Josh | Josh is a sophomore majoring in business here at Jessup, and is also an RA in the residence halls. After college he hopes to make a difference in the corporate world as an entrepreneur.
"For me, the word 'community' holds a lot of meaning. When I was In high school, my family moved from San Jose to Lodi. The move resulted in the loss of friends and I found it hard finding a new community. Coming to Jessup changed that for me. It gave me a chance to meet people from all different backgrounds and build friendships that have shaped my life in such a meaningful way. Jessup provided me with the kind of community I’d been looking for. It made me realize just how important it is to connect with people and do life together."
By making a gift to the Student Government initiative during Give:24, you will provide living area upgrades that create a welcoming environment and promote the type of community that students value the most at Jessup.
